An Unconventional Convention





In the cold depths of space, an urgent warning echoes - a space-ship drift, lured by a ravenous black hole. Amidst the emergency lockdown, a team member has become trapped in the engine room.
A command crew assemble to direct their trapped team member to reboot the vessel and equip the rocket blasters with forbidden alien tech.
A merciless 10-minute timer ticks, amplifying the pressure. Against all odds, they race to escape impending doom. Each second heightens the stakes as they navigate treacherous puzzles.
Can their determination withstand the crushing weight of uncertainty?

This project sits as part of the The Unconventional Convention’ (2023), a VR experience that aims to provide an immersive adventure, where participants must work collaboratively under pressure to rescue a space station from the clutches of a black hole.
Participants form teams and take on the roles of space station crew members, each with distinct responsibilities. One player will don a VR headset and receive guidance from their teammates working from a physical manual and AR digital pop-outs.
They will be challenged to work together, communicate effectively, and employ problem-solving skills. This immersive experience will not only provide a refreshing break from traditional conference proceedings but also encourage networking, team building, and meaningful interactions through play.
